I'm not sure, i found it boring as you couldn't kill people off or have big arguments or anything.

Some off-topic (sorry if someone have said something of this before):

Seems like Sonata Arctica is going to video games. I don't care at all of this thing and especially of Sonata Arctica, but of course these are weird news.

Nothing beats Monkey Island 1. Those were the days! I loved the sound effects and the music was amazing. And the Caribbean setting was beautiful. Best game ever!
Another game I love: Loom, based on Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Amazing.
And finally, I really liked Maniac Mansion. It brings back so many memories!

I just bought a couple new games for the Xbox. I got Need for Speed Underground- 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Winning 11- 9, and of course, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006.
These are all great games and a lot of fun.

Yep, Monkey Island I is great, but imo Monkey Island III is my favourite game ever. There are no other games with such feeling, jokes and everything else that makes MI3 masterpiece.Stealth wrote:Nothing beats Monkey Island 1. Those were the days! yes it is!!!

In the end you memorize everything and can pass the levels almost with your eyes closed. So, I remember with my brothers and cousins making this alternative competitions as time competitions or passing the levels flying or passing the levels without touching any koopas and stuff like that. It is always fun

We lost a cable of our super nintendo anyway

But it's a classic and still is the most entertaining mario for me

Re: What are your favorite video games?
@ stratofanius: You belong to a newer generation of gamers. You were probably born around the year in which I started playing Monkey 1.
MI3 is ok, but in my opinion, Monkey Island 1 has by far the cutest graphics, music and story. And the nicest environments. I remember being amazed by the quality of the VGA version (256 colours) when my father bought it for me. I had never seen such beautiful graphics. And despite technological advances, it's still by far my favourite graphic adventure (along with Loom).

@ Stealth: Well, monkey 3 isn't also so young game (it was made 1997). And I love Monkey Island I! There are so many awesome things... but MI3 is still my only god. And I love those drawings, ESPECIALLY FANTASTIC MUSIC, voice actors (especially Guybrush's actor is sooooooo great) and characters. Dialog is fantastic, like in old Monkey games.
But Monkey Island 4 isn't really so good than MI 1-3 games...

Lately I've been playing a lot of Lego Star Wars on the XBox. Has anyone played it? There is a LOT to do in that game. Fun stuff.

My roommate beat Doom 3 tonight, just as I got home from work. I got "Destroy All Humans" today for the Xbox. That game is awesome. So funny! Need for Speed Underground 2, and Winning Eleven:9, have been in heavy rotation also. Both on Xbox as well.

Hmm, I really need to finish that game... I only managed to beat the spider woman, then stopped playing out of frustration due to my clunky machine, but now i have a new one!

Monkey Island I-III are masterpieces!!! I love them, too!!
Never played the 4th part, the 3d-game.
My alltime favourite game is
Privateer 2 - The Darkening
I never played a game again that had such a great, dense and dark atmosphere. A great universe where you can trade and, well, act as a privateer or a headhunter.
And absolutely professional video sequences. You know who is the main character? Clive Owen!! Haha, long before he became a succesful hollywood star.
At the moment I finished Earth2150, and continue with Earth2160.
