I will never forget Jari! He is amazing on the bass guitar! Only wish I had seen stratovarius with him playing.

I was surprised to hear after the Strato show few months ago : "Lauri is much better than Jari..." ... from pp who have absolutely no notion about bass guitar playing!

One "great" bass player is not necessary one guy who headbang all the time and jump everywhere (even if, ok, Lauri does AND he's great).

Few months ago, I saw a gig and the bass player was headbanging all the time (even during ballads, which was totally ridiculous !). Many people came to him "wow, your an amazing player"... well, to be totally honest, the guy wasn't really good, he even came to ask some advice from me

Of course Lauri is a amazing player, but somehow I really miss Jari.
He is far underrated.

Jari and Lauri are differents, but they are both great bass players!

I haven't forgotten Jari and I never will, He was an amazing bass player and really nice guy. As Patricia said, he and Lauri are differents, we can compare them. And I'm totally agree with you too, Cliff...

I'll never forget how awesome Jari Kainulainen is.

He is part of Stratovarius for me, though it seems like he didn't participate in the band's life like the others. I really liked his appearance and his playing.

wow, I didn't know that video. It's really great!! I absolutely love about it that it shows so much parts of Jari. He is really fucking awesome! But I like the part at the end the most where he's banging together with Jörg's aggressive beatings.

Have to say that IMHO Jari´s sound is much better for metal than Lauri´s. Although Lauri seems to be more versatile player. But Jari is a real metal-bassist and Lauri general applicable.

lauri can play anything, hes an execelent musician whyle jari is an execelent bass player with an higher technique...jari reminds me of those prog metal bands bass players....he kicks ass
