ok, I'll try to fix it... but you delete it too...

Re: Recently seen movies
Just watched the DaVinci Code.
The movie was good!
It was made exactly by the book. I still recommend to read the book. And somehow Straovarius came to my mind all the way long during the movie.

I liked it, very much, I have to see it again though, and buy the DVD when it comes out. 8/10

X-Men 3. Nice! However, since X-Men 1, I've always wanted to see more of Colossus.

Scarface. I love it, one of the greatest movies ever. Absolutely perfect.

Re: Recently seen movies
I saw Silent Hill. Well, what can I say... I didn't play that game. 7 points of 10. First half of the movie is nice but there is too much blood and scream in second half of the movie... So-so...
Now I want to watch DaVinci Code

Re: Recently seen movies
The movies I watched within two days (yeah, I need a life
):
The Da Vinci Code
I didn't think it was as boring as so many claim, but in my opinion Audrey Tautou didn't fit to play Sophie Neveu and Tom Hanks and Ian McKellen were exceptionally bad on this, but besides that I quite liked it. Paul Bettany did a great work as Silas.
The Evil Dead
As Stephen King put it, the scariest movie ever.
The Godfather Part II
I think this is even better than the first part. Al Pacino is truly a great actor and I love the soundtrack (...and pretty much everything about this).
Full Metal Jacket
I think this is just a little bit overrated. Not the best Kubrick-movie.

Valiant. It's that animated movie with the pigeons. Quite ok, can't say I laughed much but it was good.

Re: Recently seen movies
The remake of THE OMEN premiered tonight! I saw some scenes on TV&it looked pretty good---also, it seemed identical to the first one, just with different people playing the roles. I guess the DVD will be out in about 4-5 months, as with The DaVinci Code. I will definitely look forward to renting those two!

Re: Recently seen movies
Last movie I went to see was X3, I am big comic book fan and this one was a must for me. I thought it was the best of the 3 movies. Looking foward to seeing Ghost Rider, especially since it was done by the guy who did Batman Begins (imo the best movie of 2005). I saw the previews for The Omen and it looks horrible to me. Nothing will ever beat the original and no-one can carry the movie like Gregory Peck or Lee Merryweather can. My mom saw it and said it was horrible. The only good thing was the effects, and just having effects will not cut it.

Whoops, wrong Lee. I don't why I thought her last name was Merriweather.

I saw the trailers for Ghost Rider, and the CGI looked like cowshit. Hehehe, I don't know if it was me, or I don't know, but Toy Story had better images...I don't think I'll see it, I'm not too fond on GR anyways.

7 seconds - a thriller with wesley snipes, the first half is not bad, even a little bit uncommon, but the second half is only boring 0815-average.

Mission: Impossible III
I was totally surprised of how good this was. In my opinion the best of M:I -movies. And I really liked some of the dialogue and Laurence Fishburne as Theodore Brassel.

Queen of the damned. Wow, another good movie about vampires! The second one after Interview with the Vampire.
Lestat is much more realistic

Re: Recently seen movies
Der Untergang (Downfall) - German movie about 10 final days of Hitler and Nazi Germany in general. Ths is one of the best WW2 movies ever made ... The acting is great and the level of detalization is just stunning. The movie contains some of the most surreal and cruel scenes in any war movie, particulary last Hitler's birthday party organized by Eva Braun, scenes with children fighting russian tanks and everything that happens to Joseph and Magda Goebbels and their children after Hitler's suicide ...
Highly recommnded, this is definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a long while ...

Oh c'om! that movie was caca. Like if Tom Cruise went to the bathroom, took a dump, and that was the movie!!!Mormegil wrote:Mission: Impossible III

But hey, that's my opinion.

Hell no, I prefer the first one. It's the best one.

Re: Recently seen movies
That's what I expected to see on my way to the movies, but I was pleasently surprised. I don't like Tom Cruise as an actor or as a person, but even the fact that the movie didn't go on for 2 seconds without him on the screen didn't bother me, I still liked it.
And I really loved the fact no one ever explained what the rabbit foot was. The first one was good and I really like all movies I've seen from Brian De Palma, but I still don't think it was as good and as exciting as this. The second one was just boring and can't be compared to either of the other ones.
...But that's just MY opinin.

The Da Vinci Code
My god, what a piece of junk! It's absolutely horrible!!!
Crap producing, bad acting, soundtrack is not good.
I know many 1000$ budget movies who are more professional than this one!
I dunno about the original version in english, but the dubbing in french sucks big time. Jean Reno and Audrey Tautou (they both dubbed their own characters) sounds like they just "read" one paper... absolutely no feeling.
And the french dubbing voice for Tom Hanks is crap, it sounds like they gave 1000 liters of Cola to a bear and then tried to make him talk!
The french audiobook has a much better acting, a better atmosphere, a better music...
Ah, how can people spend 10$ to go and see that terrible movie. It's really not good. Even The Bold And The Beautiful have a better script and better actors.
(Probably the first time I use so many bad words in a review

Re: Recently seen movies
I saw "Carlito's Way". It was nice actually. Nice role by Al Pacino and horrible acting by my beloved and recently deceased Jorge Porcel.

Holy shit! I watched Conan the Barbarian for the first time...
It was incredible movie! Arnold Schwarzenegger as Conan was perfect and action scenes were wonderful! I also enjoyed the plot and other actors were great too! And the music was awesome!
This goes immediately in my top3 Arnie movies with Terminator (the first one) and Predator.
Classic movie :headbang:
