Sometimes when you meet someone, you just have to take things slowly, and see how things turn out.
You'd be surprised at how many friends that I had played in bands with that were pursused by girls that like musicians, and then only to be told "it's them or me!" A bit sad....

Yes, it does. Unfortunately, it's simply not possible to know more about someone without spending time with them and seeing how they really are.
If I could get away with running background checks and psychological exams of people that I'd dated in the past, I'd have jumped at the opportunity.
One former girlfriend had a cat that did not like me, but she had claimed that it was not my fault, and that the house was actually haunted by her late sister-in-law's ghost, which was why the cat was upset. (After that, I headed for the exit at Warp Factor 8-!)
