Hehe, I wish that attitude would prevail more often here. He said 'I did things when I was you which were stupid. I challenge you to find anyone who didn't. Politicians have a right to a private life as well."

Very well put. Everyone wants a 'man of the people' in charge, right? Then they hate anyone with any hint of normality.

As long as its not Bill Clinton or a Democrat thats how people feel. People are very selective about who they criticize. Its OK for one person to do something-its their private life--but, when a candidate we do not like does the same thing is suddenly wrong. Like the adultery thing. (Its OK for Rudy&Newt to do it, but Bill better not) And when Bill Clinton said he smoked pot ONE time and "did not inhale" people who hated him as a candidate had a field day.

BTW, when is Jeb Bush going to announce he is running for Prez?

Fox News reported today regarding the sound bite saturated virtual jihad that has erupted between Hillary and Obama, with recording mogul David Geffen smack in the middle of this farcical fracas, just today. Looks like hunting season opens early this year, and I don't think that Mr. Geffen will be spending the night in the Lincoln Bedroom again anytime soon

I've heard he's not planning on running for 2008, instead waiting until 2012. The Republican Party is probably wary of backing another Bush for the time being.

Then again, I might be wrong. I read this on some random site quite a while ago, but it makes sense.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. ??? That may be brilliant psychology on their part. Maybe the Republicans think a Democrat will be elected&make a total mess of things, and the GOP would be a cinch to win in 2012.
??? Because there is not anyone too promising on the Right at this time. But, thats a matter of opinion, I guess.

Don't miss this week's exciting episode of "The Hillary Show". Our special guest for episode 3 is none other than House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.

Yeah, nothing like a catfight to stir things up----if Hil&Nan were 30 years younger they could don string bikinis and slug it out in a big tub of mud. =P
Oh, forget it---the bikini part anyway. :D

Hillary's contradictory dialects puzzle many

foxnews.com/story/0,2933,256747,00.html

Hmmm, who in the hell does a Yankee like Hillary think she is fooling with her fake Southern accent? :x

She's about as Southern as Al Gore, who most of the time, has no discernible accent, either. He, like Hillary, was not raised in the South (Gore was raised in Washington), so it goes without saying that they apparently are dialectic chameleons, and will emulate anyone or anything if they find it politically convenient.

Face it, Hill, you won't carry the South.

I yearn for the day when all political candidates will just be put in a cage match, UFC rules.

The winner is then launched into space.

Almost like MTV's Celebrity Death Match, and the deep space thing seems to be a good idea. Perhaps Richard Branson could provide some promotional seats on "Virgin Galactic"!

There are rumors Fred Thompson might run for President on the Republican ticket.
Since he hails from a small town about 20 miles to the North, most people I know are somewhat excited about this. Even the Democrats.
Fred appeared regularly in several TV shows(Roseanne, and Law&Order, for example)and acted in many movies before his political carer&even, after.
Its great to see a local person doing good. :)

@miditek, have you heard this? It was on BBC&MSNBC so I assume its credible? ???
Or, maybe Fred is just considering the move? ???

Thompson has long been rumored to run, and one of my neighbors, a retired boat captain, has asked me to contact Thompson's office on his behalf to offer assistance and donations, should he decide to run.

It's interesting to note Thompson is not just an actor, but is also a former assistant US Attorney, and also served as minority legal counsel for the Senate Watergate Committee. He has a good political record, and he is widely rumored to be the Republican candidate that Dhimmicratic operatives fear the most.

If he runs, I believe he'll give Hitlary & Co. a lot to worry about. 8)

Yes, Fred has a very good record&if nominated I might consider voting for him IF the nominated one on the Democrat side doesn't catch my serious interest.

Hillary Clinton will drive the USA into the ground faster than a Texas oil drill could.

I've yet to see any potential Rep. candidates that would do much different.

Goddamn it must suck to only have two parties to choose from.

Yes, it actually is confusing to choose. And, then, there are candidates which you know are there just to deflect support from the major parties LOL, so a person can tend just to say, "To Hell with it!" LOL!

Politics is, IMO, a necessary evil---a thing to tolerate&just live with. Shoot, it's just something I actually attempt not to think about much these days! :D

I, personally, have not heard? ??? Nader, IMO, has a good personal base to run his candidacy. I often wondered about Ralph. :err: I mean, he addressed the issues rather classy, but I wondered if he ran just to throw support off the left-wing, to the green-party! :D Just to give more weight to the right! =P

New Hillary attack ad from Obama supporters

youtube.com/watch?v=6h3G-lMZxjo

A hilarious spoof of Apple's classic 1984 Superbowl commercial, which is the one introduced the world to the Macintosh.

They do a good job of brand switching with Hillary standing in for fascist IBM and Obama replacing the irrepressibly hip Mac OS.

Steve Jobs genius idea. I love that commercial---a spoof of Orwell's 1984! That commercial was ranked as the No.1 TV-AD of all times in terms of creativity&meaning.

Absolutely unbelievable! The uberliberal Los Angeles Times recently ran this story about Obama.

Personally, I think it's basically still more propaganda coming from Clintonista factions, but the title and story are amusing nonetheless. Apparently, Hillary will stop at nothing now....

Spoiler: So if you're easily offended, then don't go there!

You say 'liberal' like it's a bad thing :D Not that I consider myself liberal. Or of any other political persuasion, really. Too much like the endless 'power metal/progressive metal/epic metal' debates you get... just about politics instead of metal...

So, what are your choices? It seems we have Hillary 'something wicked this way comes' Clinton for the Dem. ticket. Rep... anyone?

Here's a humorous clip that I call the "Return of Big Brother"- sort of like 1984 returning, with Steve Jobs at the Macworld 97 Expo.

youtube.com/watch?v=WxOp5mBY9IY

The fun part really begins around 4:08 on the clock in this one. Wonder if Steve or his special "guest" have considered throwing either of their hats into the 2008 race?

Hillary really got it last night on South Park. Did you see it? It was outrageous, as usual. Hillary had a nuclear bomb, hidden in her,...er, oh well- here's the link!

I'll bet her handlers are struggling with this (dealing with her after the news of the episode reached her), and are probably looking for a freaking exorcist by now. ;)

How big was that bomb?
Because if it had been any size that would've meant she had been cheating on Bill a very long time!!!
I know, it was just a cartoon, but that had alot of implications! :D
