hello and two questions!

Post by piglet » Sun Sep 16, 2007 6:50 pm

I started listening to Stratovarius a few months ago--right now my favorite album is Destiny. Love the lyrics and the beat! I'm hearing impaired but am able to understand the words if I print out a copy of the lyrics and follow along. It's great that the lyrics are up on the Stratovarius site--so easy to print up by album. Thanks to whomever is responsible for that!!

Anyway, on to my questions:

This may seem like a really dumb question, but I was wondering if Stratovarius records only in English or also in Finnish too??

Also was wondering how to pronounce Timo. Is it like Tim-o or Tee-mo?

It's fun reading through the forum and learning more about the group and the fans!

Tee Mo is how I go by it and I think it's how it should be pronounced.

And practically all the lyrics are in English, a very limited number are in French and Finnish.

In Finnish it´s just [Timo].

Agree StratoTimo?

Yes... I'm Timo and I say my name in English: Timo... there is no another way to pronounced it! 8)

I know, but I meant it if there was doubt about a long i or short i pronouncement... thus teemo to make the short i sound.

I think there is an introduction of the band on the live album. The 'i' is short. In Finnish long vowels are are written with two vowels, i.e. Tiina. Logical.
