Seriously, the whole "Look at me and my big truck" mentality people have (not only Americans, there are many idiots like that here too...) is such a retrograde and moronic obsession to play with bit toys. What is the point of driving a huge semi with a 6 liter V 8 engine and 3 tons of steel to work. I drive a tiny Renault Clio and while I would like a faster car (the new Mazda and Lancer look REAL good right now) I love my tiny tin can, I spend half as much gas as my friends who drive regular cars.

I'm happy, and I'd love to see the look on all the rednecks who love their trucks when they hear that they are just not gonna be around all that much longer

Gas here in USA is nearing $4.00 a gallon. I have a choice between a Ford Ranger, a 4WD Grand Cherokee, and a Nissan Altima to drive. Make a guess what I pick?

Matter of fact, these days if you take a drive on any random Sunday afternoon, most vehicles on the road are smaller cars&pick-up trucks. Not many SUVs or gas-guzzling big trucks on the road joy-riding any longer.
I also noticed something else, several farmers around have stocked their pastures with, you guessed it: horses.
And, its hard to get a good pair of walking shoes these days too, 'cause they are always sold out!
Also, it used to be rare to hear a RV, or motorcycle drive pass my house, but now its pretty common.

Rumors are by end of Summer gas will approach $5-6 dollars a gallon&no leveling off in sight!

I think "Trigger" or "Black Knight" is a good name for a horse. What do you think?

Nissan Altima?

Here in Finland gas costs about 3$ per litre. And if a gallon is around 4 litres it would be 12$ a gallon. And the price is rising at a vast speed. It is even rumoured that the price of gas will rise to almost 4$ per litre within a year.

I hate SUVs and vans. The bigger the worse. And it looks horrible when you see the streets filled with those giant abominations. North American culture is all about showing off, not about moderation. I really hope SUVs disappear soon.
