This morning I woke up with the news that Tolkki is going to record a new CD with the "original" guys; and that Kotipelto, Jens, Michael and Porra are preparing some new material. I've spend quite a long time reading this forum looking for news and the opinions of fans. And in every single topic I just wished that there were no forum at all...

Everybody posting accusations, insults, writing without showing respect... Not only the band members, also among the users. You are the so-called fans? Have you ever heard the message of Stratovarius music? It has nothing to do with what is happening hear.

You are blaming the guys for talking shit about the other side, but you are doing exactly the same. Paranoia is getting into every topic: invisible banning administrators, publicity stunts,... I really feel sad reading most of your opinions.

And you know what? This kind of behaviour it's only helping the guys to make the situation worse. How would you feel if dozens of unkown people would be judging all your acts? Why can't we leave them alone to solve (or not) their problems and get on with whatever they want to do?

The kind of words readed in this forum are exactly the same that the ones you criticize. It's really sad to see so much hate inside your hearts, just because 5 guys just won't play together anymore. How will you react if your boss fires you from your jobs? You will burn down his/her house if this is your normal behaviour.

Now use your imagination for a while. Imagine that this kind of posts that I am talking about wouldn't exist. Imagine that only Jens Johansson and Timo Tolkki would be doing statements and the kind of comments we've seen these last days. Do you think they would continue like that if nobody reacted to their messages? Or maybe they would think "What the f*ck am I doing?" and forget about everything...

Why can't we forget about all this stuff and just listen to their music. If you really feel sad for what happened, you wouldn't be angry! Sadness and hate are not the same emotions. Just relax, wait for some news and get your CDs on your players. Listen to the songs, listen to their message...

Yes, we are both sad&angry that Stratovarius is breaking up, but thats not the main reason for all the emotions. Bands break up, get new members, fire members etc. all the time. Thats not is whats causing much of the extreme emotions here. But, in your post, L_H, I sense alot of emotion, too, and I don't think you'd understand if anyone explained it to you.

But that emotion is not so intense to make me unable to listen and understand the reasons. I would like to know them, for sure! And even if our opinions could not be the same, that wouldn't be a problem.

Maybe I can guess why the people are so angry, the fact is that I don't think we should feel so angry and act like people here are acting...

I said this once, and I say it again: I will remember Stratovarius as a sad story and a stab in the back. And, for me, that is thanks to every member of Stratovarius band.

I can't listen to the songs like I used to listen, I can't listen their message, thanks to the messengers.

I have lost all the energy I had from Stratovarius. Now it's all bullshit and damned words. Misery, doom, lies, insults, flamewars, madness, one day you say: "hey, today I'm gonna listen something positive from the guys, I'm sure"...poor ignorant...

Yes, I've felt this way and, obviously, no only about music. I've been in that situation more than once in my whole life.

What I tried to say is that there is no point in all the hate send through this forum. A lot of people feel they have been betrayed by their idols (either one side or the other one), but that's no reason for being angry with the other fans.

And we cannot judge anybody, because we don't know them, we haven't seen things with our own eyes. We have their own point of views, but nothing similar to pure truth...

I asked this to JensJohansson and TimoTolkki. Please, read it again. And it's normal, it was not an offense. It was like say: "hey, you are so great, stop this and be the one that used to make us happy with your music, again"

When a musician is playing/composing, he should be it doing at a 50% for himself and a 50% for those who are listening. Music is the game of using your instrument to tell something. To do that, you must be free and happy with what you are playing, no matter whatever others may think; but at the same time keep in mind that you are doing it to make your listeners feel something. It's a strange equilibrium and hard to explain, but if you are musicians you'll know what I am talking about...

I tried to get over all this shit, but then you come here to see something positive and here you are another crazy statement.

I think that there should be no more statements until they solve their owns things. Everything should have ended with the guys having the rights to do what they want with their project and Tolkki dedicated to Revolution Renaissance... I would prefer not to have known all the post-informations. Like we say in Spain, "Ignorance is happyness" just kidding

So, for a side, yeah, the message of Strato is (was) always about good feelings, to be better people...

But, about this neverending war... Well, that is, first of all, a business... We can be furious because TT has gonna do a new album with all members, and cos he is so bad and bla, bla... We can be waiting eagerly that the rest of the boys will continue with the Strato legacy... But, hell, this is a businnes and all this guys have costs, am I right? There cannot be peace in this forum if the Stratomembers themselves don't try to peacify this. Instead of talking and arguing in a forum they'd better try to talk face to face

You know, every time Jens or Timo say something, there are dozens of people leaving posts about how greedy, liar, narcicist faust or money hungry Kiss of Judas is the other Stratomember... If people just rode those kind of posts and said nothing about them, they wouldn't keep talking on the forums...

And, all those messages writen by people from outside the band just make the situation more tense, and that causes de Strato(ex)members to be less polite and respectful... and so on

Realisticly, you cannot blame the disagreements that the band members have on the forum members. But, if it makes you feel better to "scapegoat", thats OK, its just a Forum.

Well they have yet to make anything crappy
The best way to sell new is to have made costumers for life with old. that does make an interesting study though of how many people bitch about an artists and how much they sell but i dont think theres much of a dead on correlation as other methods of selling.

No, your just being drawn in to a certain SOMEONE's posts about some stupid publicity stunt, its really sad people who even think this, we can only hope that time can heal the wounds.

He's not drawn to anybody's posts, he has a mind&a brain and reached that conclusion/opinion on his own.

Well, since anybody can post or say anything they want on the internet, we'll be reading a lot of no-sense opinions until the internet dies...

However I don't really think it was an advertising trick, (I mean I still have my doubts, maybe just Tolkki planned the whole thing without telling the other guys and...) I think it's just a sad ending for a great band, too bad tolkki couldn't see the big mistake he was comitting, the talent he was wasting...

Oh well, all we can do is wait for both sides to release nice music and if they don't we can flame them all we want on the internet aswell
