Favorite songs from lesser known singers in famous bands
I decided to start this topic because I know there are people like me out there who actually still liked a band even after they switched a famous singer for a lesser known singer.
Here are some of my favorite songs from some of those lesser known singers.
Blaze Bailey in Iron maiden
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3nvkw87bmk
Tim "ripper" Owens in both Judas Priest and Iced earth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpVaSRfli8I
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM4CDLmDx_Y
Andi Deris in Helloween(I know he was a bit more well known however like Bailey and Owens he is criticized because of the singer he replaced)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmP4iTGY97Y
Mike Vescera in Loudness
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81SmxG5W2e0
Masaki Yamada in Loudness
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPpYx9WZ_6g
Tony Martin in Black Sabbath
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCDyYkvJXao
Well these are only a few of the examples, remember these are only a few of my favorite videos from them, I don't have a list in any descending order.
Feel free to add some of your own favorites.

Andi OWNS! And I'll be damned if I'm gonna stay here and let anyone say something bad about him
Leaving the fan girl aside tho
, I think he was the perfect choice for Helloween. Sure Kiske had a wonderful voice, but Andi is way better frontman and songwriter, plus his voice is pretty unique.
I liked Owens with Priest, but not so much with Iced Earth. Tony Martin has an awesome voice as well.

Andi has already made 8 albums with Helloween, twice as many as Kiske. He has proven himself so many times and written so many of their greatest songs, he is the only true voice of Helloween for me.

+<9000. Why is Andi lesser known? He is in the band since 1993!Mormegil wrote: Andi has already made 8 albums with Helloween, twice as many as Kiske. He has proven himself so many times and written so many of their greatest songs, he is the only true voice of Helloween for me.

I think he means less known when they joined a band. More people knew kiske than deris in 1993.+<9000. Why is Andi lesser known? He is in the band since 1993

Absolutely. And I mean, when you think about it, Kiske only recorded 2 great albums with them. As much as I like PBGA, it's FAR from being one of their best. And Chameleon... um... with the exception of 3 or 4 songs it's just :yuk:Mormegil wrote:Andi has already made 8 albums with Helloween, twice as many as Kiske. I love all those guys regardless of the fact that both press and some fans slammed them for the singers they replaced.
This thread is meant so you can throw up some of your favorite video's from some lesser known singers who joined major bands and maybe got flack for it however you happened to like that singer.
and on the Andi deris thing, actually Andi was known a bit more then some of the other singers as he'd established himself already on three Pink Cream 69 albums, Same with Blaze Bailey in maiden as he'd already done three Wolfsbane albums, however like the rest of the crowd they were both horribly put down because of the singers they replaced.
