I do like keyboards, but they wouldn't be essential. Vocals, drums, bass and two guitars is enough for mehiro23 wrote: Babylon:No keyboard player?

Definitely not metal...but this would kick ass in the jazz/rock fusion & carabet world.

Even without Maggart's vocals, I can only imagine what the four guys would sound like! They would rip "Scatterbrain" like nobody's business!

Re: Who would be in your all-star metal band?
Vocals: R.D. Liapakis
(Mystic Prophecy, Valley's Eve) (Very talented and very underrated singer. Instead of beeing your normal Kiske-Clone his voice tends to be deep and nearly operatic. Both of his bands are worth checking out)
Guitar: Gus G.
(Firewind, Ex-Nightrage, Ex-Dreamevil, Ex-Mystic Prophecy, Ex-Arch Enemy (Ozzfest tour 2005) (This guy is simply amazing. A great talent! In all of his Bands his performance was top-notch and I think this guy is the future of power metal!)
Guitar: Roland Grapow
(Masterplan, Solo, Ex-Helloween, Ex-Rampage) (I don't think I have to say much about him. Great composer, great guitar player, okay singer.)
Bass: Jan S. Eckert
(Masterplan, Grimmark, Ex-Iron Savior, Ex-Mydra, Ex-Charon) (Another great guy. I still wonder how he broke his hand)
Drums: Dani Löble

Another great line up:
Vocals:Tony Kakko(Sonata arctica,great voice,he definitely has a lot of originality)
Guitar:Glenn Tipton(Judas Priest, one of the best guitarist's in the business)
Guitar:Michael Wilton(Queensryche,a lot of people would say what about Chris Degarmo however I think Michael sets the sound of Queensryche)
Keyboards:Geoff Nichols(Black Sabbath,Tony Martin, unfortunatly not a lot of people remember this guy, very underrated keyboard player)
Bass:Jari Kainulainen(ex-Stratovarius,evergrey,ex-Kotipelto, and a few others which are good but I'm too lazy to look up at the moment,if you don't know who he is then apparently your at the wrong site)
Drums:Nicko Mcbrain(Iron maiden, what can you say about Nicko, the man is a drumming god)

We are what we are. No point redefining it as we cannot define what we are not.

Yeah, just imagine the sheer amount of booze they'd go through. I think they'd probably be the first band to get an endorsement for Carling or Jack Daniels.Ragehead91 wrote:I have to say combining those Speed/Power/Thrash Metal musicians and those Old school metal/Hard rock musicians is a interesting mix.hiro23 wrote:Here's another

Well, maybe the other 5 but not Andi. Andi is a wine-drinker on the Helloween tours IIRC.CES wrote:Yeah, just imagine the sheer amount of booze they'd go through. Re: Who would be in your all-star metal band?
Vocals: Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, Ex-Gamma Ray, Ex-Tyran Pace, Ex-Helloween (I think he played a few shows with them right after Kai stopped singing in 86).
Guitar: Glenn Tipton (Judas Priest, Solo)
Guitar: K.K. Downing (Judas Priest)
Bass: Ian Hill (Judas Priest)
Drums: Scott Travis (Judas Priest, Racer X, Ex-Fight, Ex.Hawk)
Although we have Primal Fear which is a great band I would've loved to see a good Priest Album with Ralf.

Ralf was actually one of the finalists to become the next Judas priest singer, he unfortunatly was beaten out by Tim Owens.Ragehead91 wrote:Vocals: Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, Ex-Gamma Ray, Ex-Tyran Pace, Ex-Helloween (I think he played a few shows with them right after Kai stopped singing in 86).

Re: Who would be in your all-star metal band?
I know that I'm a huge fan of Ralf (all his stuff. Tyran Pace, Gamma Ray (How could you let him go Kai? And do you really HAVE to sing again?) and Primal Fear). I know that he left Gamma Ray because he wanted to become the new singer of Judas Priest and because he lived to far away from the other members. He auditioned and was told that he is defenitly in the finals just to get a call after a few years beeing told that there is no casting and that they found what they were looking for with Owens. Not a fine move by Priest.hiro23 wrote:Ralf was actually one of the finalists to become the next Judas priest singer, he unfortunatly was beaten out by Tim Owens.Ragehead91 wrote:Vocals: Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear, Ex-Gamma Ray, Ex-Tyran Pace, Ex-Helloween (I think he played a few shows with them right after Kai stopped singing in 86).

I know. But I'm still kind of curious about how a Priest Album with Ralf would've sounded like. But yeah, Primal Fear rocks.hiro23 wrote:Yeah but then we wouldn't have gotten primal fear, so I think it worked out for all of us
Another thing that makes me sad is that Ralf never did a record with his Cover Band "Just Priest". I would love to hear him sing songs like Breaking the Law, Electric Eye, Jawbreaker...
