Why does everyone think that the Tony Martin era is so bad? Headless Cross, The Eternal Idol, Tyr, Cross Purposes and Forbidden are great Albums in my opinion.

And Eternal idol =) all great albums except Forbidden.

I think he was a good replacement because I had a strong enough voice to do the Dio songs and also could do the Ozzy songs.

Another good singer they had was Glenn Hughes, it's unfortunate his health declined and he was only able to do the one album

It wasn't really about his health but more about a fight he had with the band manager. The manager punshed him in the throat so I had extreme problems singing the song and the Keyboarder Geoff Nichols even had do do a lot of the singing off-stage.

That wasn't the only problem though, he was also still heavily taking drugs at that point and they also said in interviews that his fondness for mars bars didn't help either.

I'm just saying it's a shame cause he's a really great singer.

Oh, I didn't know about this. I thought the only reason for his problems was that fight. And he is indeed a good singer.

They are in the album sleeve for the rereleased version of Seventh star, I mean getting punched in the throat didn't help but that was something that could heal, they were more worried about his long term health

They are great, I like Glenn's voice, it would have been interesting to have heard Glenn on the eternal idol album, but then again if that had happened we never would have gotten Tony Martin, so I guess it all worked out in the end.

Indeed. It is kind of sad though that the Headless Cross Anniversary Tour never happened.

That's alright, at least we have one version of Black Sabbath touring out there, and Dio is willing to share in the profits.

He will do a few shows in South America but not under the "Headless Cross Anniversary" banner but under his own name.
