Or as some call them, Chitlings

they should be called Shitlings, all things considered!

the best way to have colon is after the person has been killed after sex with a horse and the colon is nice and torn. it can then be fried and smothered with mayo and butter. colon and butt(er) are just made to be together

I reckon every part of cows and pigs are edible, even their balls(mountain oysters :yuk: ). Even pig skins can be cooked(fried pork rinds), which are called Cracklings by southern people. Cracklings can be eaten as a snack(with beer), or in cornbread. The reason they are called cracklings is obvious: they are very crunchy but sometimes get so hard they can crack your teeth if you bite down on them.

Southerners have weird tastes in food.

Thats why that guy on the Travel Channel has done several shows about Southern cooking.

Up until a couple decades ago, a Hog Killing was cause for a big celebration in the South. A hog would be slaughtered and several family members would help, and then get a share of the meat. Of course the owner would keep the Hams, after all he fed and grew the animal.
