Lol its quite demanding to just record one song. For black diamond I couldnt even find a bassist and drummer to record those parts.
So, S.O.S. is easier to play than Rebel, correct? I voted for the right song after all.

They are both pretty easy, definitely easier then black diamond! SOS will be much easier to do because there are music sheets/tabs around that we can learn the songs from. Rebel on the other hand each person will have to figure out there own parts. Which I have no problem doing but I dont know if everyone else has the time or will to figure there parts out.

anyone here good at ear reading all the instruments?

With SOS you guys could really do a rearrange job job, perhaps we could have people do some rearrangements and then vote on those. Or we could just put some up as midi and have people record parts and replace the midi with recordings when they come in.

I can figure all of the parts out by ear but it would take wayyyy to much time. Time I unfortunate dont have =/.

Once we see which song wins I will make a rearrangement of the song and send it to everyone to learn. Wont be any big changes but it will have a little bit of me in it i guess you could say 8)

Just because it's insanely even, loan a bit from Rebel! Some solo parts, a some small part in a right place... sort of a medley S.O.S./Rebel/S.O.S. Would be interesting. :D

Also, I couldn't, except for drums. I never understood how some people learn guitars or even basses out of playing music...

The sickest of them all is the absolute note ear. That's just insane. How can people define a single note without hearing anything else but that one particular note? :S

Those are people very well trained, or people that have a great appreciation of music, so that they can figure the notes out.
Of course, I wouldn't be able to do that :D

I can! :o Discovered it while I was studying at the local Conservatory. I could listen to any song and tell you in wich key it was written within 5 seconds. And I can also let you sing a random note, and then tell you wich note you sang right away. :)

That's called "absolute pitch", there are many kinds of "Absolute pitch" but, 2 of these, are "Passive" and "Active", In Passive Absolute Pitch you can hear a note and say which note is it, but, if you want to sing a specific note without a reference note, probably you couldn't, and in Active Absolute Pitch, you can sing any specific note without any reference note...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_pitch

i think this must be a damned  .. cause you can enjoy music like other people do, i actually can identify and sing a note, with a reference.

And incredibly annoying. The orchestra leader of my university's orchestra hears someone throwing a can into a dustbin and tells you it's an A flat.

:ohmygod:

Then, what is the note that Dio's singing an article "a" on Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell part: Sing me a song, you're a singer / do me a wrong, you're a bringer of evil? :) Because that's about as high I can reach, temporarily, with no falset. :D

Or I don't know. I'm actually a pretty good imitator in my opinion, and I've been told as such by many people. I can hardly sing on my own, just sing a song sounding close to the singer I know singing it. You know, like singing Kiske, I have all those overly soft L's, his personal S, cleanness, that little rasp in certain parts, like most on Eagle Fly Free's verses. Stuff like that. I just do them naturally. :P On the other hand my throat begins to hurt, like, on third Deris song, and it's damn hard anyway... I guess his voice isn't so natural to me. :D Who knows I can reach higher than that with, I don't know, some other position of some articulator, different frequency on vocal folds and different voice color imitation...

Oh, and, since we have at least one of them, let's form an "ask from the absolute note ear" topic! Not.

Okay, that active absolute b/pitching recognizion is beyond reality already...

you could do one with the your voice and one without, or just give one big package with all the tracks

hey guys I been working on SOS for us to cover. Now I just need to know exactly who will be playing on the song. Anyone who feels they will be able to do can play in the cover. Doesnt matter if there is 5 guitarist I will break up the guitars for those five.

So anyone interested and need to know.

Oh on a side note I reworked Black Diamond a little bit with the mixing ill post it up soon.

Hi!, sorry for be late uploading the song, but i was sick of my throat and was impossible to me to sing, especially cause I'm not singer, but just listen the track and if you want i can make Zip with all the tracks, i used Adobe Audition to record, i recommend you to listen the drums, it's de Addictive Drums VSTi plugin, EZ Drummer is good, but i think Addictive Drums is much better since it requires less RAM and is more versatile.

sorry for my bad english
:D

if you want the Session with all the tracks, only tell me :D

Here is the tweeked version of Black Diamond I was talking about. Not much different from the last one but the vocals are a little better and the keyboard solo is a little clearer. Im not sure why but when I mix my keyboard solos in to the song my leads sound changes quite a bit =( Im not sure why...let alone how to fix it =( BUT its a bit better now so I guess thats better.
