Thanks.
This has also happened to me everytime I've installed Firefox (after formatting my hard drive or getting a new computer) but after a while it has started to work just fine. These log-in problems haven't occured to me in any other web-site or with any other browser. I still haven't figured out why this happens.browneyedgirl wrote:I downloaded the Mozilla browser because it is somewhat faster than Internet Explorer, and seems to be more secure. Now, I CANNOT Log-in to this forum using Mozilla. I had to shift back to IE. I tried to Log-in 10 times using Mozilla, and it would not work. Can somebody be so kind as to tell me why the fuck that is?![]()

I've found Opera to be a bit faster and less bloated that Firefox- on both Windows and Linux.Morgana wrote:Mozilla sucks. Opera rules
Yes, you can definitely download and install Opera with no problem at all. It's just another application.browneyedgirl wrote:I may read more about Opera, and if I get unhappy with Mozilla, I may switch.
How many browsers can a computer have installed at the same time anyway?
I have the default IE, and now, Mozilla. Can a person add even another?
Windows Update installs an ActiveX control to the browser, which is probably why IE is required, as other browsers don't support that type of extension.NeverendingAbyss wrote:Also, if you are manually running your updates, you most definitely need IE.
(and that is really annoying)
No longer an issue since Vista.NeverendingAbyss wrote:Also, if you are manually running your updates, you most definitely need IE.

I haven't really played with Vista. My sister has an Acer Vista laptop and I just use it because it has more RAM. I suppose Win7 has the same advantage?fernandotcl wrote:No longer an issue since Vista.NeverendingAbyss wrote:Also, if you are manually running your updates, you most definitely need IE.
