That was good too. A strong come back after "No Prayer For The Dying", which I didn't really like. Especiallx the titel track kicks all amounts of ass.

I personally think Maiden hasn't released a 100% bad album in their entire Career. Even Dance of Death itself was a killer track on that album.
I kept hearing that metal is dead and Ozzy's dead and people that like Ozzy are dead. I have never had an empty seat. I've always sold out, so who's saying it's all over?

I don't think FOTD is that great. Although it was some awesome songs, like Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Judas Be My Guide and Fear Of The Dark, it also has some completely forgettable ones like The Fugitive, Fear Is The Key, Childhood's End and, IMO two of the worst tracks they ever recorded with Bruce: The Apparition and Weekend Warrior.

Replace 'band' with 'idea' or 'religion' or 'political ideology' and you're on the way to unlocking the secrets of how the world has worked for thousands of years!

I heard this will be the last Iron Maiden album
Hope will be their best album!
But I can't believe this will be their last album!
BTW: What is happening to the legens of rock & metal lately?
We are not having so good news about our idols, Dio is sick, Scorpions will end their career & Iron Maiden also will not last long
Well at least we still have Stratovarius!

Hopefully not! And if they announce it is, I hope it will be something like KISS' Farewell Tour

They also said AMOLAD was going to be their last album because the last track is an epic (or at least an attempt at an epic, I think it kind of fails) called The Legacy.
I don't think we're close to the last Maiden album. Every time those guys get together they gather huge crowds. Maybe they'll start releasing albums less often so that they can enjoy some other aspects of their lives (and hopefully that'll free Bruce for a couple more solo albums soon too).
It's hard to imagine this being their last album. They've just got the band airplane and shit. Everything they do is well received. They seem to have fun on stage. It just wouldn't make any sense.

Me neither. I don't think Maiden will throw the towel like that, they always state "this/that will be our lats project together", but everytime you see them releasing some new stuffs
But if that comes true, let's hope this to be an epic album

Not so sure if this is the longest song made by them, but in any case: OMG!

I'm a huge maiden fan and have loved everything they have ever done, there have been some albums I've liked more then others but that being said I've never been disappointed by them.
I'm most likely going to love this new album and be singing some of the songs for years to come.

The thing is they've actually been saying it for years and personally I don't think they'll retire until Steve Harris dies.

I still doubt they are going to call it quits, I still believe that Iron Maiden won't retire until the members are dead, that will be their retirement and then even in the afterlife they will be playing to a host of angels

Ironic to think that a band with lyrical themes inspired in the devil and hell, to be playing music in heaven. I'm sure they will though

They have a lot of good vs evil themes but the only time I believe they had full themes about the devil was only on their number of the beast album and the lyrics seem to be more from a christian sort of sentiment rather then "worship satan for he is your lord"

Aren't most of their lyrics inspired by war? Maybe not neary everyone, but a lot are.

One thing Bruce Dickinson has said is that a lot of their music is about how man is both repelled and fascinated by war.
