Re: Blind Guardian
I like them very much. Blind Guardian is a heck of a singer.
The only thing that bugs me is that ever since 1998 they have that stupid "1 Album every 4 years" release policy.

Re: Blind Guardian
Yeah, and it's not even intentional, they told the fans that 4 years was too long for ANATO and they wanted to get A Twist in the Myth out earlier, and then they apologized again and said they wanted to break the 4 year cycle for the next release.Ragehead91 wrote:I like them very much. They won't break it. It is already 4 years since the last album.Rage1979 wrote:I believe it when I see it =)Rebel wrote:Yeah, and it's not even intentional, they told the fans that 4 years was too long for ANATO and they wanted to get A Twist in the Myth out earlier, and then they apologized again and said they wanted to break the 4 year cycle for the next release.Ragehead91 wrote:I like them very much. Re: Blind Guardian
Andre has finished with all his guitar recordings for the album, and there will be 12+ songs

Cool! Nothing is wrong with twist in the myth but I hope the next one is better.Rebel wrote:Andre has finished with all his guitar recordings for the album, and there will be 12+ songs

Re: Blind Guardian
this makes me extremely happy! Can't wait!
I kept hearing that metal is dead and Ozzy's dead and people that like Ozzy are dead. I have never had an empty seat. I've always sold out, so who's saying it's all over?

Quoting BG official website:

Back to "Song 12". After counting all songs (and I did that again and again) I finally figured we only have worked on eleven in total. Don't blame me, blame André. He has called it "Song 12". What can I do? Well, I do have two choices. I either call it "Song 11" from today on or I keep it as it is. To create no further confusion I call it the "Eleventh song which is called Song 12" for now. It is another nice one, to say that much.

Through the storms we've wandered
Many mountains we have climbed
But all the bad times are behind
The road is free - I'm coming home

The road is free - I'm coming home

To finish the "still- to-do-list": We will end up recordings with some gigantic choir sessions, which will take some time to be completed.

Re: Blind Guardian
Awesome!By now I assume it is no secret anymore that we twice have traveled to Prague during the last months for orchestral recordings.
How is that even possible? O_oAs probably said before, this will be our most bombastic and epic album so far.
Re: Blind Guardian
I hope to see them in Sweden in October!

Re: Blind Guardian
September is too far away, damnit I hate waiting, but then again seeing their track record in the past I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I don't think they're active at the moment.hiro23 wrote:I know that he's in the band coldseed
Re: Blind Guardian
According to most of the things I've seen they are still active, they just haven't recorded a new album yet.
but then again I could be wrong, that's all I know at this point.

I don't mean inactive as in "they broke up" but as in "they're not doing anything at the moment".

Re: Blind Guardian
Always gotta listen to nightfall in middle earth before going on adventures in the woods.
The new song reminds me of 'a night at the opera' vocals. Vocal OVERLOAD!
Dear Blind Guardian, you just broke my 5 dollar headphones!!!

Re: Blind Guardian
This is exactly why Guardian has gone worse for me. I liked one raspy Hansi more than zillion high Hansis. I don't like the overly-layered production. This time, though, the 30 seconds of the new song sounds more awesome than anything from A Twist in the Myth... o.O Heard that days ago already, but damn! Just awesome! ;ONeonVomit wrote:Awesome!
