In any case, he's gone. Fuck him. Hopefully Assad is next.
Seriously, I hope Assad sees this as a sign and either goes, or allows some sort of power transition process to take place. Cyprus really can't cope with being flooded with refugees again, especially not this year...
Surely you don't think that Assad will actually step down on his own accord, do you? Not that his leaving would be a bad thing, but I doubt if he will do it voluntarily.
Just my two cents.

One can only hope. But yeah, it's incredibly unlikely - there's really no chance of a peaceful ending to this mess.

Fog? Fog in Seattle? Is that possible? Maybe you can find that Needle in some muffin-stack.
Fog is maybe, the worst excuse for a second-fast heavy-breather, I have seen for a long time...

With all due respect, I invite you to hold your tongue or you may end up lying on your back on a silver platter, with your burnt legs thrust toward the ceiling. There are Leedsman lurking... :nervous:

I have entered the baking industry. I sell onion-muffins with toenail clippings for texture. I also sell sandpaper pillows filled with cream cheese. I have come a long way since you dumped me. Deal with it.

I prefer Quixote.
Anyway... it's funny. All you have to do is say something nobody understands and they'll do practically anything you want them to.

"Libya is an African country. May Allah help the Arabs and keep them away from us. We don't want anything to do with them," Col Gaddafi said in 2007.

So that's why when Western countries were like 'Should we bomb Libya?' the Arabs were like 'Sure, knock yourselves out.'
Moral of this story: don't piss off the people you might need to rely on to
save your ass one day.
But anyway, the article points out that it's pretty unlikely he'd head to any poorer countries which are dependant on Western aid. He's more likely to go to the powerful African countries like Nigeria or South Africa.

On the morning news it was said Omar Khadafi got captured in Sirte, Libya. I guess there will be more to confirm this as the day goes on.

I heard he is a good dancer--I guess he will get his chance soon enough.

Confirmed, pictures of the body on TV. Won't post them here cos they're kinda gross, but they're on the BBC site.
And so it ends.
