Some of his songs are amazing, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they're better than what Maiden have put out.

I think Blaze does a lot better as a solo artist than he did with Iron Maiden. At least as a solo artist people are coming to listen to his music because they want to, instead of listening to him to judge his performance compared to Bruce. I love Maiden's post Blaze albums, even A Matter of Life and Death and The Final Frontier. But I like Blaze's solo stuff too.
