How many times have we heard this before?
Until I have the DVD in my hands, I won't believe it.

It's time for the band to announce some things, isn't it? People has waited for so long : D!
If this is true Edel Music Corporation and Stratovarius should announce that this DVD will be realeased.

To me, if Jens doesn't confirm this, it's not true.
Because it's not the first time we are left wating for a DVD

^Exactly.
Otherwise, this sounds like it might be a bootleg DVD, and that would not be cool to advertise something on the band's official forum that they are not getting paid for.

It's of course official dvd, it will be released by JVC, the longtime label of Stratovarius in Japan.
I don't know when it will be out in Europe and the USA, currently no info.
Preorder the Japan edition here:

Keep in mind that this could just be a placeholder date for the time being, don't be surprised if the release date is changed later to it's release.

No need to laugh at me, how am I supposed to know what the hell their label is in Japan?
I was just agreeing with the person who said that until Jens or the band confirms it, I'm not as inclined to believe it just yet.

Thanks once again Victor, preorder placed

I'm not laughing at you, but you've been an active memeber of this forum fo a decade so aren't interested in their albums at all?
As far as I can see the Japanese versions of Stratovarius albums are the most wanted collectibles in western world after the true rarities.
Or wait, isn't everyone like me and Victor?

Of course I am interested in their music; I own every damn album they've ever made (maybe not every version; I don't need to have 13 versions of the same album just because it comes from a different region or whatnot). I have also been a fan long enough to know that this is not the first time we have heard there will be a new Stratovarius DVD. So I am merely saying that until I hear an official announcement from the band, I'm going to hold off on getting excited about it. There isn't even a title yet for this DVD, so I'm certainly not going to start jumping up and down over a DVD that doesn't even have a name yet. Just because I don't know who their record label is in every single country doesn't mean I am less interested in the band than you are. But I didn't know this was a contest.

Can you even watch such a DVD outside Japan? I mean I'm sure you can decode it onto your computer, but in a set top?

I think you can watch pretty much all DVDs on computers; at least, I've been able to watch all of mine imported from Europe on my laptop.

the "album that will be released when the sun will rise in 2210... so let's do the "Maniac dance" until then because we have more possibilities to "Move the Mountain" than "Falling into Fantasy" with the fucking awesome Tampere DVD. So let's wait for another "Millenium" and rest into our "Dreamspace" 'til the fucking CD will be released!
PS: During those days, please don't "Play With Fire" because you might need to do "SOS" signs...
Now seriously! Will the sun.. ooops! Will the fans have some news? Some of us are still waiting...

I don't know, I haven't heard anything from the band yet so I'm still a little skeptical about this supposed contest.

Timo Kotipelto said recently in his own website that:
"Hello there,
it’s been awhile since the last post. Lots of touring and some acoustic gigs as well.
Here is the update: While searching for the best drummer for Stratovarius I have been composing a couple of new songs and been doing some acoustic gigs with Jani. In the next months we will hopefully have the new guy for Strato and some of you can see him playing some summer festivals. I will also keep on doing those acoustic gigs and…
Jani and I have plans to record an acoustic album!!! The process will start in the next couple of months and the album should be out later this year. The idea came actually from the fans who have seen us playing live. “Why don’t you record an acoustic album so I could listen to these versions of the songs at home as well?” Hhmmm…”Great idea! Why not?”.
So here we are…also planning the next Strato album, touring etc…
Rock the acoustic album, Rock the new Strato drummer and of course…
Rock the Metal!"
He does not say anything about the album, but in my opinion this DVD - Docbootleg will be awesome for sure...
