Disforia

Post by Rebel » Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:55 am

So, in the course of covering the metal scene, I have the distinct pleasure of coming across some small time bands that are really talented, and really underexposed. One such band is Utah's Disforia. Yes, that's right, metal from UTAH. Anyways, they're really cool guys and they're trying to crowdsource the last bit of their upcoming album. There's about 6 days left and they need a pretty big push. So I'm here to recruit YOU to help make they're next album happen.

Here are a few reasons why.

1. They're in Utah. They are a legitimate progressive metal band trying to make awesome music in UTAH. We all stand to gain great satisfaction from their success.

2. John Yelland is a seriously awesome vocalist. He's been around a few different bands in the United States (including the power metal band Judicator, who are awesome). This guy is a legit future talent.

3. Disforia rocks. Seriously, check out this song. I dare you. I dare you to listen to this song and NOT want to make their next album happen.

4. Unlike vague promises of a mythical guitar that's totally going to get stolen and never delivered on, Disforia has really sweet rewards for giving them money. Seriously, 2 people have actually paid $200 to get a recording of band members mud wrestling to metal.

5. In addition to awesome rewards, they're actually raffling off a Playstation 4. No joke. This ain't no Taco Bell "No purchase necessary, but your odds are worse than the lottery" contest. By my count, a $25 donation would get you (In addition to awesome music), a 1/157 chance to win that sweet, sweet Playstation 4. A $35 donation would get you a 1/79 chance. I'm not sure how that compares to Casino gambling, but Casino gambling doesn't support awesome music, does it now?

So go to the link here, and DONATE

If you donate $500, they'll let you sing lead vocals on a song.
