I know that Bronj and Benny (from abba) used to do this for the sake of melody and to work the lyrics when they had not idea what the song was about.
meaning the music came first and there was not even a song title.

There are a lot of crazy themed Strato demos. In the demo for Infinite's Freedom TK sang about finding a whore and killing her with a knife before emptying his balls while dreaming of a Russian whore.
