Flavio's Artistic Portfolio (only Stratovarius will be shown)

Here musicians can talk to each other about making music etc. Of course if you are not a musician you are still welcomed to this board, but the topics should somehow be about making music.

Flavio's Artistic Portfolio (only Stratovarius will be shown)

Post by Mr cool Edit »

Well, this is my new message in this new era we're all living in.

The video I'm going to present is a special one about my experience as an artist and YouTuber. I have a lot of people with fake accounts trying to take things that don't belong to them artistically, putting my ideas based on Stratovarius' music at risk. They laugh at the problem, but for an emerging artist like me, it's a real issue.

This is the song "Night Time Eclipse," originally dedicated in my version to all the "hidden and aggressive thieves" who lurk on YouTube under accounts without real identification. >=(

Many people also told me I sound like "Timo Tolkki's little brother" because of my voice. I can't be his son anymore because I'm 46 years old, hahaha!

I hope you enjoy my negative energy rant in video form about this bad digital experience. :eyes

P.S.: The video is a bit staged; don't think I actually have these gestures or a crazy expression like in the video.

P.S 2: The copyright belongs to Stratovarius and Timo Tolkki; if the video goes viral, they will receive the royalties. :D

Well, it's a new day in Argentina. I don't know what time it is in the Nordic countries, but the point is that, due to personal care, my work, studies, family and household chores, and artistic endeavors, I get up very early in the morning to complete my daily tasks.

Today I bring you a personal version of the song "United" from the album "Stratovarius," although many consider it the "Worst Stratovarius Album." The truth is, I really liked it. I don't see it as that "Horrible" artistically.

The story behind this song applied to my world? It's a call for unity in a channel shattered by the personal interests of my "former fans." The story goes like this...

When I started honing my skills in music production, my biggest obsession was developing a technique that could replicate the greats. As we all know, Stratovarius is one of the greats, both with Timo Tolkki and Matias Kupiainen. I mention them because it was the change that had the biggest impact on the fans. Timo Tolkki was a genius in his style, and the change to Matias Kupiainen was a do-or-die move in the band's history, which, as we all know, fortunately paid off for them in stepping out of their comfort zone.

The thing is, I had released free karaoke tracks for a while, which I can no longer do due to international legal issues. The problem wasn't Stratovarius, but Rhapsody of Fire...

I received a contact from a lawyer in Germany, from their record label. Limp, or something like that, claimed I didn't know how I'd gotten the band's material and that if I distributed it publicly, Rhapsody of Fire would sue me for copyright infringement and piracy... honestly, how could they sue me for piracy if they didn't even understand how I got the material, right?

After studying an entire book on international law and copyright for two days, I reached an agreement with the lawyer, which was a complete halt to karaoke production. That means no more free karaoke for anyone, ever again.

The lawyer was satisfied, and I was saved from financial ruin. For this reason, my followers, who only wanted the karaoke videos, erupted in anger! They not only criticized me for what I did, but they also attacked me, not even caring whether I could handle it or not. My YouTube channel was at a critical point and on the verge of closing. So I decided to post a message in the "community" section explaining the situation and stating that anyone who wanted to leave could go. They erupted even more in anger, and one by one they started leaving. Only those who truly valued my work stayed.

The Stratovarius song was chosen as my personal anthem to welcome the year 2026, as a plea for unity within the channel's metal community. I argued that if they left and we became divided, we would all fall apart. But they didn't care and kept leaving. I didn't stop them; I let them go without worrying about the channel's future. I was just living in the present at that moment. For this reason, all my karaoke examples are censored and not publicly available; they can only be acquired privately and for legitimate and legal use.

This led me to acquire more resources to continue my artistic career without collapsing, but I'll talk about that later...

PS: Don't pay attention to the cover photo; I looked heavier than I am because of the camera. I'm trying to lose weight and I'm succeeding... :err:

PS 2: As always, and as I've already stated, if the video goes viral, the royalties will go to Timo Tolkki and Stratovarius. :D

PS 3: Why is there a Fire Horse on the cover? Because 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse in the Chinese Zodiac.

Might be the "worst" for me but actually not the least listened - it's probably somewhere in the middle. There were some periods of time I listened to a bunch of its songs a lot. So I do love it. In a way there's some much welcomed change, although thankfully only for a moment. The album just happens to lack certain things the band does best. NO weak albums in this band's discography!

I checked the video earlier, suscribite!

Yesterday I got so engrossed in this forum, after so many years, that I forgot to study for university. I need to give my mind a break because otherwise I won't understand anything. Getting hooked on the forum saved me a bit from stress and mental fatigue.

I was supposed to do a practice exercise on how to create an algorithm in Python, and I got completely lost. I also have to study mathematical analysis because last Thursday, true to form in Argentina, I don't have classes this week because the universities are in conflict with the Argentine government. On Thursday, they threw a long list of math content at me, which almost gave me a stroke. That class was hell on earth. :~(

The following song is something I made for Christmas 2025. I tried to express my best wishes based on the Stratovarius song, "Lead Us into the Light," but I see that nobody liked it... that's life, short and tough, as my grandfather used to say.

Stratovarius – “Hands of Time,” what can I say? – here I switched my brain to “Timo Tolkki” mode, so much so that they said “TOLKKI, YOU REMIND ME OF TOLKKI,” and I ended up believing it and doing it. You wanted Timo Tolkki? Okay, here you have Timo Tolkki but with Latin blood. Let's not kid ourselves, Timo Tolkki is better looking than me, just because he's written over 100 songs makes him better looking.

Enjoy! Or try not to insult me, I don't know what to expect from the metal community anymore!

Here's my cover of Stratovarius' "Night Screamer" from the album "Fright Night." It's pure Tolkki, and I think the vocals are way too low here, the complete opposite of Rhapsody. That's what happens when you don't give your brain a break; in the long run, you end up listening to nonsense. Now I take things more calmly; before, it was all about the enthusiasm to show off my skills. :?

The music video is rubbish, but I couldn't think of anything else. Honestly, making music videos for everything you do is a heavy and very creative task, so now I'm a bit more selective with my ideas. :|

I read the title as Flavio's autistic portfolio.

In any case both portfolios are extensive.

Thanks, friend, for thinking I'm autistic. That's thanks to the university that's asking me to understand and reason like a computer. :crazy1:

Hello, today is March 18, 2026, and it's 4:45 AM. I woke up early today because I have a lot to do, including deactivating all the junk on my junk phone, my great Motorola G22 from 2022, which cost 51,000 pesos, or 36.3 dollars, or 31.69 euros for Europeans. I'm that simple, not to say POOR, and with the technological crisis the world is experiencing, this phone has to last me at least until 2030, because everything is seriously going to hell for reasons only those of us who are computer technicians understand. Ordinary people only know that inflation is rising and that they can no longer buy technology like they used to.

This song is another "Made In Tolkki" track from Stratovarius' album "Fright Night." Keep in mind that I practically did the entire album of covers, except for the instrumentals, which I don't do to avoid putting absurd things on my YouTube channel. And I say absurd not because of Stratovarius' music, but because there are more repetitions than a drunk burps after a crate of vodka.

This is a cover from the year 2025… vintage style video.... i'm a pandora box, really :err:

The story behind this song, by Stratovarius, from the album "Fright Night," called "False Messiah," goes back to a time in my life when I lived in a different part of Buenos Aires. Right across the street from my old house, an evangelical church had been set up. The thing is, they were constantly playing music for Jesus Christ and shouting, worse than I am when I'm recording, not to mention the ton of nonsense the pastor yelled every second. Once, they cornered me to try and sell me an evangelical Bible, and that's when the idea hit me, and I remembered this song.

And here it is, with a religious video, and also one that's against religion, not to mention that it's also a critique of the human system and its religious absurdities.

After a morning filled with more hacking attempts on my Microsoft OneDrive servers, this time, thanks to some miracle from our Lord Jesus Christ or our Lord Lucifer, the fallen angel so many metalheads worship, Microsoft installed more security on my accounts. It eliminated the attempt without even giving it a chance to breathe. I couldn't see where the hell that scoundrel came from, otherwise I'd warn you that there are people who enjoy committing crimes using other people's accounts.

Guys, I'm so fed up I'm practically carrying my own weight around on my shoulders. I DON'T HAVE ANY PRODUCTIONS ON SERVERS. If you want my stuff, you're going to have to…

1. Hack a Linux operating system with a password that, even with brute-force software, will take ages to crack. You'll probably die before you manage to hack my Linux. Not only that, but my productions aren't even stored on this Linux system, so even if you get in, you won't find anything. It's the only way you can access my PC since it's the only operating system with an internet connection.

2. The audio and video production system I use is a dual-boot system with Linux and Windows 7. As a security layer, I log in to Linux; Windows is just a burden, like it's a slave to Linux. I should also mention that music productions AREN'T ON WINDOWS EITHER, SO EVEN IF YOU PAY THE BEST HACKER IN HISTORY A FORTUNE, THEY'LL STILL FAIL, BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ON WINDOWS EITHER. What's more, Windows doesn't even have internet access, so your only option is to go head-to-head with Linux, its automatic VPN, your ISP's VPN, a V6 IP address, and identify yourself with a network pseudonym that's more common than the name "Carlos" in Argentina.

If you're so brilliant, guess where the hell I have everything, you criminal masterminds? I'll leave you to think about it.

PS: I'm posting this message everywhere because I don't know who's obsessed with forcibly taking everything of mine, and nobody even knows me. Imagine if I had Stratovarius' fame, I'd be fighting hackers every minute of every day.

That said, shall we get to today's video?

Stratovarius – Twilight Symphony under the watchful eye of Little Timo “Mr. Cool Edit” Tolkki. I'm sure if the real Tolkki reads this, he'd be mad at me for the second time. For some reason, Timo Tolkki erased me from his world. :x

I made the song because I liked it, period. That's all there is to it, hahaha! – It was a day I wanted to die because of personal issues, stupid things that come to mind when you're going through a family crisis.

This time I'm presenting my own version of Timo Tolkki's solo work – “Soldier’s Prayer” from his solo album. I truly admire Timo Tolkki's humanity, despite his health issues and the questionable actions he's taken in his life. I've always appreciated his songwriting.

I particularly liked this song because I personally hate wars and politicians; they are the downfall of humanity. Beyond the absurdity of religion, Satan does exist; he's called “Politicians.”
