actually my visa ends on the 9th, so I might come back. But I'd like to stay more in Taiwan. No matter how much you love Stratovarius, spending 1500$ for the plane ticket is a bit steep just to go see a show. I might do it if they come to Japan or something.
But i'm kinda worried because it's not announced anywhere :S Not on braveconcerts, not on capitaledumétal, not on Facebook (well only a Facebook event by the Olympia)...only on the Olympia web site...and tickets are still on sale Saturday :S
@ Gilles, I'm considering coming to the Québec show too...5 years is long and I need 2 shows
in 2009 i was at the Montréal show too but it's expensive to see all those band .. i will only see them in Quebec this time.
This time the promotor is not capitale du metal, it's Headline Productions.
twisted talent concerts wrote:Prog Power was originally an exclusive North America appearance. As the opportunity to visit their Canadian fans again was a rare and very appealing opportunity for Stratovarius, Glenn Harveston of Prog Power has kindly confirmed that he is releasing the band from this exclusivity requirement.
The Prog Power 2014 tickets were sold out a long time ago, and as compensation to any fans who bought tickets because the band’s gig was announced as an exclusive, Stratovarius promise to at least play some exclusive and rare song material at the festival to make it a memorable experience.

Elysium?
Well I hope there's a good recording of this come September, I intend to find out the setlist and then download the concert
I hope it's Elysium. I wouldn't be mad if I got to hear some stuff from that album in general, or either Elements album... or Intermission.
Well, seems like I'll be going back to Montreal if they are not coming to NY.
Last week I drove 3 hours to see Gaelic Storm, of course I'll be driving 6 hours to see Stratovarius!
Besides...Montreal is awesome.

I wish but I'm saving to go to Chicago and Miami this year.
If the tickets were still on sale, I'd try to convince you otherwise. Lineup this year is EXCELLENT. Not a lot of people appreciate how good Leprous is, but they're maybe the best act in prog metal right now.

That's what I'm doing... I'm flying to Montreal from Yellowknife, NT for this.
I missed Stratovarius in '05 because I had just started university in Halifax and I missed them in '09 because I had just moved from Fort McMurray to Halifax as they were playing in Edmonton. I refuse to miss them again.
I already bought my VIP ticket. I've been waiting for well over a decade to see Stratovarius live. $1500? Worth every penny.
