The New Album Name

If the new album cannot be Popkiller, what could it be?

I think the situation of the band arising out of their problems to begin anew is a good basis for album concept&name.

Well, what do you think? What could be an appropriate name?

I'll think about it&put my ideas down later!

Depending on the content of the album....

They seem to like concise titles, so perhaps "Undead".

I also move for "Parting Words"

And in a cheesier light, "Feathers From Wax Wings Fall". Oh god, that was so uncreative.

I hope it isn't something unoriginal like "Resurrection." Maybe it could just be called "Stratovarius"? But then... that's not original either, I mean lots of bands have had self-titled albums signifying a rebirth (i.e. "Labyrinth")... I hope they choose a name that might mean a rebirth or whatever, but have a name that means something only to them, or with the fans, not something as blatant as the word "rebirth" itself for instance.

("Parting Words" is nice, and "ressusitation" is more clever than simply "rebirth' or something... but we also have to consider, are those Stratovarius-esque words? They have a certain vocabulary they stick to...)

after all stratovarius has been through and after all of the jeering cursing amazement and all out what the fxxk that the fans have witnessed i think that the name should be just STRATOVARIUS no other title is required this is the band !

all as song names? seriously, an album name with "strato" in it would be the most laughable piece of crap ever.

I agree with Clare. However....i think that "Resuscitate" carries too much connotations with, say, hospital Emergency Rooms. They weren't DEAD, for chrissake. Just on hiatus.

Onwards. This thread has been here for nearly 24 hours and no one yet has pointed out that...oh my god....what if they want to name the album after a title track?? We are ill-prepared, then, to discuss album naming.

Second. I have no problem with Popkiller.

Third. Because TwilightSymphony hasn't shown face for a little while, i'm going to pretend i'm him and say something i feel he would probably contribute to this thread.

Which brings us to a question? Which usually comes first: the songs, or an albums name?
Some groups&singers do pick an album name first--like if they have a theme or concept in mind--and then, write the songs. And a title track could originate(from albums name) that way, too.
It does not matter, I guess.....whichever method the band prefers&works best for them they should follow.
