Yes, but in fact Tolkki was at "Gimmel's" (first finnish pop star winner "band") second album. He played some guitar solos. Tolkki is an old friend of Risto.
Maybe now it's Risto's time to help TT
My god, this is the guy who composed and wrote everything for Nylon Beat !
Imagine 2 women who sings with their nose...
Pop" would be a too nice word to describe his work. Mmm.
just thinking : wasn't Gimmel originally with 4 girls ? (and if I'm not mistaken, one of them is different). Are they still existing ? I hadn't heard anything from them since 1 year. Btw You can find that CD (or perhaps it was the first one, I can't rem) for 6€ in some finnish stores.

Nylon Beat was terrible, but Gimmel and all of those Idols and popstars -bands are just NIGHTMARE!!! I don't know that is he also Antti Tuisku's (worst pop singer ever) composer, but if he is, he is more horrible!

actually Nylon Beat aren't too bad live. Some of their songs are also really good for Staraoké (Anna Mulle for ex). I found one album of them in russian (it was a tape for 1€ or something) : I thought that the tape was broken, because the voices were so strange, so I throw the tape away. It was so crap.
I have never heard Gimmel, but I remember they acted like big stars when they came to south of France to film their first videoclip.
Antti Tuisku... have you heard his second album ? I heard few clips on iTunes. It's not THAT bad, at least much better than the first album (could it be worse )
Offtobik, sorry guys...

Yes, sorry that this really is off-topic.
I heard his new single "Tyhjä Huone" and that is one of the worst songs I've ever heard (okay, his first album's single-hit was THE WORST).

I know them! and if I'm not mistaken, Tuomas Wäinölä used to play in their gigs...

The sound of Maniac Dance brings thoughts of early Megadeth, and Metallica. Was that intention, or am I delusional?
I have the same opinion.
However, I think it's a bad idea to release this song as a single. Generally singles are meant to give a snapshot of the album so the people who likes the song will buy the album. Imagine what it is when someone hear that Megadeth-like song, decide to buy the album and then he hears songs which are more like... Stratovarius...
Still the song is great!

What about the opposite scenario?
Someone expects to hear "pure Stratovarius", and gets an 80s-style song?

I've read an interview where TT says that Miss K has sung some demos.. As far as i remember, Maniac Dance, United, Back To Madness and another song.. when i find the interview i'll post it here
i found the article.. TT says that there's a Maniac Dance demo with Miss K singing, and some older strato songs with Miss K on the mic.. and there are a few guitar riffs, which where acutally written for Miss K, but they didn't use them in the new album..
