Hmh, it seems I disagree 98 % with your opinions. Fight!!! is quite fast I think and perhaps it could not sound as interesting and headbanging one if it were more faster. I like also quite much about the sounds in Zenith of Power, specially the drums. I´d say the drums are best in both Fight!!! and Zenith of Power. And about Just Carry On, I think I had already said my opinions about it without a mention that the song is very catchy though.

I like Back to Madness, too! And Maniac Dance is still my Fav. ZoP is great&the Lyrics take your breath away! Leave the Tribe is catchy&The Land of Ice&Snow is beautiful.
Yep, I got my album this afternoon&played it over&over 3 hours! :) I'll play it tonight when I go to bed.
My son likes Fight, but that song did not catch my attention that much. Neither did Gypsy in Me. Sorry. :(
Overall, I think the album was money well spent!

Back to Madness is great.
Leave the tribe is great.
Gotterdammerung is good.
United is good.
The Land of Ice and Snow is good
Fight is ok.
Gypsy in Me is ok.
Just Carry On is terrible.

Well, IMO that's the album with the best sound for quite a long time that's been made by Strato. Since "Visions" there was no album that had really such a powerful and strong sound. This new album sounds like hard work: Rough and powerful! I quita like it!!

I know nothing about mixing and producing an album and such, but, IMO, the sound is terrific! The music is powerful, IMO. I think the album was made well. I will listen to it again today many times.

@Icebraker: Finland is a free country so I'm allowed not to like those songs or the new album if I did. Maby it just takes some more time to get used to the new sound. It took me 3 weeks to start to listen to visions when I listened it the 1st time. But then I couldn't stop listen to it :D So keep the faith!

This is a very good album, better than I could wish for! Lots of powerful songs, full of emotion. I think it's great to know that this album was made the way it should be: with all bandmembers on the same level and without any serious incidents like before.

I saw someone mentioning Metallica in this topic. I think he has a point in such a way that Strato's new album is very similar to Metallica's St. Anger. Both bands have suffered from members leaving (or threatening to leave), both bands have had problems communicating with eachother and both bands took a time-out to work out their problems and come back stronger than before.

It's good to know that the Stratoguys haven't lost their touch and even dared to face their own fears to work out their difficulties. Kudos to TT and his crew! =)

Although I like St. Anger, Stratovarius doesn't have that annoying trash can for drums :).

I bought St, Anger and i think i wasted my money... Strato came back BETTER than before, unlike Metallica, imo

To each his own, I personally think Metallica came out better after they sorted out everything. After watching the Some Kind Of Monster documentary, I got an entirely different view on how that album came to be.

Anyway, I was making this reference because both bands were in turmoil and needed help (from either within or outside) to get it straightened out and in both cases it worked. Whether you think one came out better than the other is a matter of opinion.

HELL YEAH!that was my point at first place,THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING BETWEEN LINES.
what i triying to say is that Stratovarius will never be the same again, same as metallica, not other Black Album, Visions, Ride the Lighting, Infinite...etc, and thats is what most of the old fans (of both bands) remember as the most awesome music that they have been given to us for a couple of years .

i will dig all the stratovarius stuff FOR EVER AND EVER, but come on, Im not blind, i can reconigze the best and the not so best of stratovarius. And believe me this record its not the best. (my opinion)

I just got the new album yesterday. Not bad. Different. I have to listen to it more so it can sink in. I think it's cool for a band to try new things, provided they keep the musical integrity. Stratovarius has done that with this album. I wouldn't rank it among my favorite Stratovarius albums yet, but as I said, I just got it yesterday and I am still digesting it.

For the record. I enjoyed Elements part 1 and 2.

And. Metallica has pretty much shit the bed ever since the "Black Album". With each album getting progressively worse than the one before it. St.Anger isn't even listenable. I liked the trash can comment about the drums! To be honest though, the "Black Album" was mediocre. Their last great album was "Justice". They have sucked ever since that turd Bob Rock became the unofficial 5th member of the band.

Overall, I like the new Straovarius album.

I am still regularly listening to the new album&ot tired of it yet!
Vic informed me last night that he placed an order at CM for the StratoAlbum. He mailed it from work yesterday. The point is--this is the first Album by Strato he has liked enough to buy one for his very own! :)

Lady, why don't yu let your son do his own talking. :?

Anyways, I do like this album more than others from Stratovarius because it sounds like the stuff I am more used to hearing. my fav song is Fight! but, I like ZoP, too, and, Maniac Dance.

haha I spent less for mine than my mom did hers. Now who is the smarter shopper!
