So violence is not recent at all, but it seems that people have forgotten some things years before!
Yes, you are right about the goal keeper. Toni Schumacher (?), fucking idiot... What a shame...

:? :? :?

If it's true, they would certainly know that Zidane could react like this! Shame anyway! :buh: :err:

What the fuck?? :err: Are you serious about that? They discussed a strategy to provoke Zidane with racist phraseology? If that's true, they are the biggest scum of Europe!
That's what the medical assistent told to the journalists.

IF that is true and not just "False news travel fast"-thing, I´d mention "What I said about Italy and their well-known provoking tactics..."

But will see most likely what´s the truth or at least nearly.

In any case I have never liked Italy at all...

Zidane told today to journalists that he will talk about this "incident" in some days.

Oh come off it. Do you honestly think this is the first time this has happened? More people noticed this time because it was the World Cup final. It happens all the time. Patrick Kluivert got sent off in the 98 World Cup match against Belgium for EXACTLY the same reason. So did Wayne Rooney against Portugal, and I don't know how many other times the same thing has happened.

All teams do that, sorry to shatter your idyllic delusions of how this is. Professional level football is a tough, hard world, and sometimes ruthless tactics such as those are the most effective.

You're approaching racism here, I advise caution.

So what. Think just also how great actors their players are and the Serie A scandal...

But I stop now. :) Not because of opinions of Italian soccer, but because I won´t have much time to readthis forum in next few weeks...

With favourable winds, I would say he has arrived at racism. :?

Racism is not tolerated in any way shape or form here.

I shall say no more on the subject.

If the consciences were better in the football and i guess in most of sports, for talking only about sport, those kind of racist provocations and so on would not happen. But the world is not perfect...As we can see it.

Well, anyway, let's wait for the public declarations about this incident.

well I read a lot of stuff about racist incidents in the Seria A of Italy. As far as I'm informed it's definitely a problem in some places.
By the way, did you read what that Italian senator just said about the French team? It's a "team of Negros, Communists, and Moslems". What the fuck? It's the same fucking idiot that hat the t-shirt with those Moslem caricatures.

Oh yeah, and probably it will be revealed what Materazzi said to Zidane. We will see...

I don't want to exaggerate things, I just have a sensitive side against racism and nazis. That's why I'm so furious about things like these...

you want ot or not those insults in the field are strategy

that's part of the sport, some do it that way, and others don't.

I don't like it that way, but it happens, and I accept that's a valid strategy, what's the goal ?? winning of course, and you have to manage to do it at any ways (that's one way of thinking, not mine)

I just read that Jürgen Klinsmann won't continue as German Coach. :( I'm sad and a disappointed, but I can understand him. Honestly, I didn't expect him to continue. He was badly criticized before the World Championship, and the way some media and self-called "experts" treated him was really a shame. He deserves to lean back now and to keep the memory of a nice and (almost completely) succesful Championship.

Miguel is absolutely right. Not a single player goes onto the field without being aware that this sort of thing might occur.

Yes. All those ignorant assholes that treated him like a dog before the Championship (most of the media, paul breitner, sepp maier, matthäus, even beckenbauer, politicians, the list is endless...) are the ones who are responsible that Germany's best coach since I don't know, since a long time, quits his job. I can understand him. It wasn't easy for him, and he is not so stupid to think after a succesfull World Championship they would let him do his job without disturbance.
A pity. I wish Jogi Löw all the best, I know he is a good coach, but he might have it even harder than Klinsmann...

I have nothing to say to defend Zidane but I have everything to say against *anyone* who goes on the field verbally insulting ANYONE. That's not part of the game, or if it is, it should NOT be.

Switzerland has never been better before! And now we will sink in the rating because we don't have a european cup qualification.

one really quick thought.
I am glad that Italy won, eventhough their game for that last game wasn´t so fair.
And concerning what Zidane did, I think it was really immature and unprofessional! If he really supported the team and so on, he would have done NOTHING, coz he knew the team needed him. Instead of that, he acted selfishly and stupidly. If one player says smt to you on the field, u should solve it off the field. So ja, I agree with Dawn, great that he got kicked from the game. Really unprofessional act.
