Zepplin stage: 2400-0130: Stratovarius
we can only hope That Axl and co fuck things up

Easy choice for us, especially for me since I don't like Guns at all... But there will be a lot of people missing them.Ikola wrote:quite easy choice, Stratovarius ofc. And after 2 songs of axl being boring the crowd will head for the real headliner of sweden rock, Stratovarius
I never liked Guns so I haven't bothered to listen to chinese democracy.Rebel wrote:Dude... that would be a HARD choice...
if buckethead were still in the band at least.
Chinese Democracy was a KILLER album. Loved that thing to death. And honestly, if you're a Power Metal fan, you should too, the layered vocals and instrumentation, orchestration, complexity of the composition, it was beautiful.

No doubt Axl is a bitch.HinatAArcticA wrote:I've never liked Guns and Roses that much. Also, Koti is a great front man. Axl is a son of a bitch (no offense, is the truth)
Strato +1

Yea I was gonna say that. I did not see them last time they were here, but I heard the show started at like 1 am. Saw them back in '93 tho and after Blind Melon finished we waited for over 2 hours for GNR to finally come out.DawnIsHere wrote: +1

(Seriously, last month his show here was expected for 21:00, he showed up at 00:30)

icecab21 wrote:Not comparing to bucket head, but I am saying that slash is skilled at certain parts of guitar playing and has been a big influence in music and is recognized by peers for his skills.
Critiques rate for skill, why would being rated as being skilled not mean that a person is skilled?
the session work that slash has done is enough as it is to say that slash is a virtuoso.
Actually, I'd say Buckethead brought quite a bit of Diversity into Chinese Democracy. IE: "Sorry", "If the World", and "There was a Time"icecab21 wrote:A critique has nothing to do with success; it has to do with someone being able to perform a skill.
I’m talking about peers and industry in guitar magazines and people in the guitar world that rate people on their guitar playing abilities, not music critics in general. Being voted on top guitar player lists by other guitar players is the context I am talking about. Peer acclaimed is a way to put it.
No critic ever said Kurt was a good guitar player, but they have called him a good songwriter.
In the context of what the guitar players are playing with guns and roses, they are not playing versatile guitar anyway so all the other styles a person can play is not a factor when no one will see the guitar player play those styles at a guns and roses concert.
Rolling Stone ranked him as the 12th greatest guitar player of all time, champ!icecab21 wrote: No critic ever said Kurt was a good guitar player
